If the amount of comment spam a blog receives equates to the popularity and success of a blog, I Am Pariah is pretty successful.

This blog ranks very high on Google for a number of popular search terms, as it also does on Technorati, Bloglines, and other places. In some way, this indicates the success of a blog, if page rank is one’s motivation.

More than 300 blogs and sites–including the New York Times print and online edition–mention and link to the Memes List, one of the projects of this site. This too is an indicator of success, if links are one’s motivation.

Google AdSense pulls well enough on this site that all my hosting expenses–on all my domains–are comfortably covered. So, that could be construed as sucess, if money is one’s motivation.

Since implementing anti-comment spam features that prevent such things from appearing on this site, but deliver it to location where I can peruse it, the quantity of comment spam (attempted) has exceeded 340 messages per day–and it grows at an astonishing rate of 10% per week. I wonder: Is this too an indicator of success?
