Layers Magazine Offers Special InDesign Advantage Center Online
OLDSMAR, FL–(Layers)–1 June, 2006 —The publishers of Layers magazine (www.layersmagazine.com) today announced the InDesign Advantage Center, an exclusive online collection of content designed to provide a side-by-side comparison between Adobe® InDesign® software and the latest version of QuarkXPress.
The online compilation gives creative professionals in an in-depth look at how InDesign stacks up to QuarkXPress, provides video tutorials and tips and featured content from Scott Kelby, Editor-in-Chief of Layers magazine and Taz Tally, contributing writer to Layers magazine.
The Advantage Center also features 25 videos tutorials from Terry White, the co-author of InDesign CS/CS2 Killer Tips and author of “Getting Started with InDesign CS2” (DVD) who has gained a reputation as one of the leading instructors in Adobe Creative Suite.
As the “How-To Magazine for Everything Adobe”, Layers offers its readers tutorials, tricks and tips for the entire Adobe Creative Suite. The new Advantage Center will give those considering InDesign over QuarkXPress nuts-and-bolts demonstrations of simple to complex tasks, advanced techniques and improved workflow in InDesign.
Dave Moser, Executive Publisher Layers, states that the magazine is produced in InDesign and points out the concept of the Advantage Center.
“We certainly believe that the future of page layout belongs to InDesign simply due to all the amazing things a designer can do with it.” Moser remarks. “Because of that, we took and long and careful look at the features of both QuarkXPress and InDesign in real-world situations. What we found was that InDesign provided the most advanced, easy-to-master environment for the creative professional to take their design skills to the next level.”
