Developer software and Adobe plug-in maker Rogue Sheep has just released the beta version of a new plug-in for InDesign that brings Mac OS 10.4 Tiger’s Core Image technology directly into InDesign CS2, making the over 100 Core Image effects available with live previews, without having to leave InDesign.

Additionally Magma is reported to allow not only chaining of of multiple Core Image effects but live editing of individual effect parameters for any single effect in the chain without affecting any of the others one may be using.

It’s available as a free beta release here. Mac OS 10.4.x Tiger is required for this, as is a Core Image enabled video card, such as the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, 9550, 9650, 9600, 9600 XT, 9800 XT, X800 XT, and the nVidia GeForce FX Go 5200, GeForce FX 5200 Ultra, GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL, and 6800 GT DDL .
