Workflow: Freelance

2009-02-25

Following closely on the success of GurusUnleashed.com (portfolio page here) as both a tool for me as well as for the rest of the design community, I launched Workflow: Freelance in February 2009.

During its first three weeks Workflow: Freelance collected, organized, and brought to the attention of thousands of freelance creative professionals more than 6,500 articles on the topics of running a freelance or contract design business, design inspiration, typography, free design resources, and more. Through the Design Jobs section, Workflow: Freelance also connected designers to more than 5,000 design job openings and requests for bid/quote from more than 1,700 employers, agencies, and clients, while the Design Talk Live section connected readers with design-related discussions happening all over the world in real-time on Twitter, Facebook, and hundreds of other social media, microblogging, and blog services.

The initial response to Workflow: Freelance among the design community has been tremendous, with subscriptions to RSS feeds, daily e-mail digests, and Twitter broadcasts skyrocketing from the first day.
