Thank you so much for visiting! I really appreciate you stopping by.
Just a quick heads-up: the site is currently under construction and will be finished after the holidays. I’m in the middle of rebuilding everything and migrating back to WordPress as my content management system after spending about a year running the site on Hugo CMS.
Why I’m Moving Back to WordPress
On the surface, Hugo seemed like a great choice. It was faster and lighter for both writing and displaying pages. But it ultimately didn’t suit the needs of a professional services site with a blog containing 27 years of content. The real problem? Every time I edited any menu or sidebar content, Hugo took several hours to push the local content to my web server. This dramatically slowed down even simple blog post publishing.
So, I’ve made the decision to return to WordPress.
The WordPress Trade-Off
Despite the significant problems in the modern WordPress ecosystem, it at least allows me to publish quickly and fix typos without half a day of waiting. That’s a huge win when you’re trying to maintain an active site.
What’s Next
As 2026 begins, one of my first priorities will be to hack WordPress (as I’ve been doing since 2003) and customize the theme I’ve chosen to make them more accessible and WCAG-compliant than WordPress can be out of the box. Accessibility matters, and I’m committed to getting it right.
I’ll also be migrating all the individual training course pages at that time, and fixing all the image and other links that were broken by the move.
Thank You
Thank you for your patience during this transition. I know it’s not ideal to visit a site that’s still being put together, but I promise it will be worth the wait.
Happy New Year!
