Courses are available as virtual instructor-led training (VILT), on-site classroom training, and private customized engagements, with content for all engagements tailored to real-world workflows—not generic feature tours.

In addition to standard courses, I develop custom educational programs tailored to your organization, including:

Custom engagements can range from a single focused session to multi-day or multi-week programs.

Course Levels

Most software courses are available at three levels, depending on audience experience and goals:

Introductory

Designed for learners new to a tool or with limited, infrequent experience. Focuses on core concepts, essential workflows, and building confidence.

Advanced

For experienced users who are largely self-taught or ready to work more efficiently. Emphasizes best practices, workflow optimization, and deeper feature mastery.

Master Class (Expert)

For professionals with significant real-world experience. Highly customized, project-driven, and focused on advanced techniques, edge cases, and production-level decision-making.

Example: Adobe InDesign

• Introductory: For new users or those with limited experience
• Advanced: For working professionals looking to fill gaps and improve efficiency
• Master Class: For designers and publishers with at least 3 years of experience seeking expert-level control and customization

My unique approach offers fixed rates per class—not per student, allowing you to maximize the value of your training budget while receiving premium, customized instruction.

Virtual or On-Site Training Options

All training is available as:

• Virtual instructor-led training via Zoom (with $0 travel expenses)
• On-site, in-person training at your location (travel expenses may apply)

Both formats deliver the same exceptional, hands-on learning experience tailored to your team’s specific needs.

Unlike most trainers who charge per student, my rates are fixed per class, creating substantial savings as your team size increases. This approach allows you to:

• Budget with complete certainty—no surprises based on attendance
• Maximize participation without increasing costs
• Achieve lower per-student costs than traditional training models
• Include additional team members at no extra charge (up to capacity limits)

Flexible Session Options

Full-Day Sessions

• 7 hours total (6 hours instruction + 1 hour lunch break)
• Comprehensive skill development with hands-on practice
• Flexible start/end times to accommodate your schedule

Half-Day Sessions

• 3.5 hours of focused, intensive instruction
• Ideal for specific skill areas or refresher training
• Can be combined (two half-days on the same date are billed at the discounted full-day rate)

Class Size Recommendations

While I can accommodate larger groups, I recommend:

• Up to 25 students per instructor for on-site training
• Up to 50 students for virtual hands-on training
• Up to 90 students for lecture-style virtual sessions

Smaller class sizes allow for more personalized attention and better learning outcomes. For larger teams, multiple sessions are recommended to ensure everyone receives the individualized instruction that produces the best results.

Scheduling Your Training

While 4–6 weeks’ advance notice is ideal, I understand business demands don’t always allow for extended planning. From extended lead times to urgent needs, I’ll work with your schedule to deliver exceptional training when you need it.

My calendar fills quickly, so I recommend securing your preferred dates as soon as possible.

Additional Considerations

• Materials: Course materials are included in all standard training packages
• Travel: For on-site training outside the Portland, Oregon metro area, travel expenses will apply (clearly outlined in your quote)
• Custom Development: Development of custom scripts, plugins, or specialized materials is available at additional cost
