Preparing Data Sources, Part 2: Structuring Data for InDesign

Special codes and sym­bols in data sources, even some­thing as sim­ple as a com­ma or quo­ta­tion mark, need spe­cial han­dling to func­tion in InDesign’s Data Merge.
Problems with Data Merge almost always come down to some­thing isn’t for­mat­ted prop­er­ly in the Data Source. Pay close atten­tion to this clip to pre­vent errors and show-stopping issues from crop­ping up in your VDP publications.
