  • Master The ART of Saying NO as a Freelancer // PART 2

Let’s kick things off on a high note. There are some things that (should they happen) completely disqualify a possible deal and the client behind it. Let’s call them game-enders.

  • The Open-Office Trap: Younger Workers Complain Less, Suffer Just as Much

More studies are emerging with findings about open-office plans. A new one, laid out in Maria Konnikova’s article in The New Yorker, found that working in an open-office lowers productivity and creativity at an alarming degree. Part of the issue seems to be that the open-office plan’s popularity is due to the new generation of workers, who often have never worked in a traditional cubicle-type layout:

  • The 3 Career Investments Every Creative Should Be Making

“As a designer, however, I have to say that my true mother language is typography. I fluently communicate in glyphs, ligatures, and kerning, and I do so in a full range of dialects from Aachen to Zebrawood.
