Adobe Hosts Publishing Expo for Creative Professionals, IT Managers and Print Professionals

Day-Long Conference Focuses on Enhancing Publishing and Creative Workflows; Expo Showcases Industry Leaders and the Latest Publishing Tools and Technologies

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Adobe Systems Incorporated is bring­ing its suc­cess­ful Partners in Publishing Conference & Expo to San Francisco. More than 40 Adobe cus­tomers, part­ners and spon­sors includ­ing Xerox, EMC Documentum, HP, Woodwing, Artesia, and MEI will show­case their lat­est pub­lish­ing tools at a day-long con­fer­ence on September 27 at San Francisco’s Westin St. Francis Hotel. The con­fer­ence will intro­duce cre­ative pro­fes­sion­als, IT man­agers and print pro­fes­sion­als to a pub­lish­ing plat­form that increas­es cre­ative con­trol while stream­lin­ing work­flows for effi­cien­cy. For the first time in the Bay Area, Adobe will demon­strate its award-winning design pub­lish­ing envi­ron­ment Adobe Creative Suite 2, which inte­grates Adobe InDesign CS2, Adobe Photoshop® CS2, Adobe GoLive® CS2 and Adobe Illustrator® CS2. Select part­ners in Adobe’s pilot pro­gram for Adobe InDesign Server CS2 will also be offer­ing sneak peeks at solu­tions they’re build­ing on the new serv­er plat­form for design-driven, auto­mat­ed publishing. 

Designed for cre­ative pro­fes­sion­als, IT man­agers and print pro­fes­sion­als, the con­fer­ence will address the hottest trends in pub­lish­ing. The con­fer­ence keynote titled The Adobe Publishing Platform: Trends and Tools will fea­ture Adobe’s own Gary Cosimini, who will be artic­u­lat­ing Adobe’s vision for pub­lish­ing. The keynote will also include insights into some of the chang­ing trends with­in the pub­lish­ing sec­tor from David Zwang, the prin­ci­pal con­sul­tant of Zwang & Company, a firm spe­cial­iz­ing in strate­gic busi­ness plan­ning, analy­sis and relat­ed ser­vices with­in the pub­lish­ing market.

Industry-leading com­pa­nies such as EuroRSCG, Gap Inc and Schawk, Inc. will par­tic­i­pate in the cus­tomer pan­el and pro­vide insight into their suc­cess­ful deploy­ments of Adobe tech­nolo­gies into their pub­lish­ing work­flows. Session tracks will also include pre­sen­ta­tions from indus­try lumi­nar­ies on top­ics includ­ing how Variable Data Printing (VDP) can expand busi­ness­es and strength­en port­fo­lios, the automa­tion capa­bil­i­ties of Job Definition Format (JDF) in Adobe solu­tions, and inte­grat­ing XML into pub­lish­ing work­flows.
