You read the headline right: There are now six—6, half a dozen, even—bundles of new products bearing the Creative Suite moniker. And if all those lists of applications aren’t enough to make your head spin, there are also a dizzying array of prices and upgrade paths. Each of the official Adobe price sheets (four of them for different markets and software languages) lists three separate prices for retail and two different upgrade paths, as well as several footnote prices and caveats. Then there’s the separate educational prices, volume new and upgrade purchase pricing, and so on. Good thing you still have a few weeks to plan your purchasing—you’ll need all that time to pick the right suite and what you’re eligible to pay for it.
Although we’ll leave it to Adobe’s customer service agents to decrypt the upgrade paths and minute pricing options open to you specifically, here is a cheat sheet of products included in each of the Creative Suite 3 editions and what you can (probably) expect to pay—at least for the full retail versions.
