Macromedia CEO Tells IDB Adobe Merger a Good Thing

In a recent interview with Investors Business Daily, Stephen Elop, CEO of Macromedia, expressed confident optimism about the Adobe-Macromedia merger, the DOJ investigation, and customer reactions.

The broad sentiment among our customers, among the popular press and so forth is that this deal is something that is going to be very good–not just for shareholders and customers but for the competitive landscape in the industry as well.

The Justice Department…[is] out there talking to our customers. And I think they are going to be getting very positive feedback.

In addition to touching on how Department of Justice antitrust regulators are investigating the proposed merger, Elop discusses the technology platforms most attracting Macromedia and Adobe to one another.
