Showtime Networks Selects Adobe Creative Suite 3


SAN JOSE, Calif. — (ar​-edel​man​.com) — Aug. 29, 2007 — Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: ADBE) today announced that Showtime Networks Inc. has imple­ment­ed Adobe® Creative Suite® 3 Design Premium edi­tion across its in-house cre­ative agency, The Red Group. After suc­cess­ful­ly switch­ing to Adobe InDesign® soft­ware sev­er­al years ago to pro­duce its print mar­ket­ing mate­ri­als, The Red Group’s staff of 80 will now use the effi­cient, high­ly inte­grat­ed tools in Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium to design and pro­duce its mar­ket­ing cam­paigns. The Red Group pro­duces 2,000 to 2,500 print adver­tis­ing pieces and mar­ket­ing mate­ri­als annu­al­ly.

By stan­dard­iz­ing on Adobe Creative Suite 3, The Red Group joins a world-wide com­mu­ni­ty of cre­ative design firms using Adobe prod­ucts to pro­duce inte­grat­ed, multi-component mar­ket­ing cam­paigns. Currently, The Red Group is pro­duc­ing a print cam­paign to pro­mote the sec­ond sea­son of the top-rated Showtime orig­i­nal dra­ma series Dexter. Components of the cam­paign include con­sumer ads in mag­a­zines, news­pa­pers, bill­boards and bus shel­ters. The cam­paign also includes cor­po­rate com­mu­ni­ca­tions, mar­ket­ing, and pub­lic rela­tions mate­ri­als, such as press kits, direct-mail pieces, point-of-sale cam­paigns and posters.

The enhanced fea­tures of Adobe Creative Suite 3 sim­pli­fy work­flows and speed pro­duc­tion of mar­ket­ing mate­ri­als for The Red Group. In addi­tion to InDesign CS3, The Red Group uses Adobe Photoshop® CS3 Extended for high-end pho­to retouch­ing and com­posit­ing, and Adobe Illustrator® CS3 for line art, logo cre­ation and title treat­ments. Improved per­for­mance in Adobe Bridge CS3 helps The Red Group orga­nize and view assets more effi­cient­ly, while sup­port for Adobe XMP meta­da­ta in Bridge enables smooth inte­gra­tion with Showtime’s cus­tom asset man­age­ment sys­tem.
