The QuarkXPress XTension We Gave Away This Time
Graphic Inspector (Mac Only)
QuarkXPress XTension from Zevrix Solutions
Graphic Inspector is a preflight solution for images and vector graphic files. The program is designed to help users of any trade, whether it’s print, web, prepress, publishing or digital photography. With Graphic Inspector, you can quickly get crucial information about entire folders of files thus eliminating the need to open and check each file manually.
Graphic Inspector will display info about file’s kind, color mode, resolution, color profile, spot colors, fonts, EXIF data and other attributes.
The highly customizable Checkup Presets will let you quickly spot files with unwanted attributes saving hours of manual checking and helping eliminate costly mistakes. For example, you can make Graphic Inspector warn you about all files whose color mode is RGB, format – JPEG, resolution is below 200 dpi, ICC profile doesn’t contain “USWebCoated” etc.
Graphic Inspector features
- Detailed file info
Graphic Inspector provides the following info about files:
- File kind

When Graphic Inspector scans files, it can warn you about files that possess (or don¹t possess) certain attributes. You specify the warning conditions in the Checkup Presets window. The files that meet the conditions will be flagged with a warning sign. You can specify conditions for the following file attributes: Kind, Color Mode, Color Profile, Type, Creator, Size, Resolution, EPS fonts and Spot Colors. You can create different presets for various purposes, for example – print, web or PDF publishing.
