Upgrade from any version of QuarkXPress for the same price
Press Release
Denver, Colo.–(QUARKvsINDESIGN.com)–April 5, 2005–In its efforts to reward customers for choosing the most successful design software in its class, Quark today announced the immediate availability of promotional pricing for QuarkXPress 6.5 full products and upgrades. The promotional pricing includes one low upgrade price from any previous version of QuarkXPress. The suggested retail prices for the promotional period are $199 for upgrades and $699 for full product. The promotional pricing is available now until June 30, 2005.
Award-winning functionality
Released in November 2004 and available as a free upgrade to users of QuarkXPress 6, QuarkXPress 6.5 offers new features and increased product stability and reliability. Added functionality eases image manipulation, enhances variable data printing with QuarkXClusive, and provides support for importing native Photoshop files. Much more than an upgrade, QuarkXPress 6.5 has been an instant hit with users and the media alike, already winning a number of awards, including a coveted Macworld Eddy for most improved page layout software, a Macworld UK 4‑star rating, and a PC Magazine Germany Top-Produkt award.
Reviewers at MacUser magazine lauded the improvements: “The quality of the edited images created by QuarkVista [in QuarkXPress 6.5] is impeccable. Taken together with the new features introduced with QuarkXPress 6 – layers, multiple undo, synchronized text, and so on – it’s an utterly compelling upgrade.”
And reviewers from Computer Arts Magazine wrote: “[QuarkXClusive] leaves the low-end imposer supplied with Adobe InDesign CS PageMaker Edition looking pitiful by comparison. Users still stuck with QuarkXPress 4.x and 5.x will be green with envy.”
Helping customers make the switch to QuarkXPress 6.5
Instead of having different upgrade pricing that is based on the software version a customer is upgrading, Quark is offering upgrades to QuarkXPress 6.5 for the same low upgrade price of $199 – regardless of whether a customer is upgrading from QuarkXPress 3, 4, or 5. This promotional pricing plan could save some organizations more than $300 for every upgraded license.
For those businesses that are looking to make the switch to QuarkXPress 6.5 or add new licenses, the new promotional full product pricing means purchasing licenses of QuarkXPress has never been more cost effective. The suggested retail price for the full product version of QuarkXPress 6.5 during the promotion is just $699, a savings of more than $346 on the list price of QuarkXPress.
